In the year 600, the fall of the Paekjae Kingdom is underway, and both warriors and civil ministers are committing suicide at the mortuary tablet of Paekjae. 450 years later, a small band of warriors become dedicated to restoring the Paekjae Kingdom. After an attack by samurai, only two remain with the knowledge to restore the Spirit Sword. When one of them falls in love with a shaman and abandons his quest, Hwang, the other, kills both of them and then returns to his mission.
Meanwhile, Goudo, who hopes to restore the Spirit Sword, has fallen in love with a Japanese woman who is to marry a feudal lord. On the day of their wedding, Goudo and his woman escape from the palace. Feudal henchmen are sent out after Goudo and Osame, and as the feudal lord's wrath grows larger, all descendants of the Paekjae Kingdom become targets, including Hwang. |
